While the team won’t be practicing this summer, the members of the Illinois Trial Team are hard at work. A number of our trial-ers have been taken in as interns and paralegals. Here is a brief update of some of the positions they hold!
Aleks Ostojic, second year law student, is working as a legal extern at the Department of Education’s Office of the General Counsel in Washington, D.C.
Lena Shapiro, second year law student, is working as a law clerk for the Cook County Chief Criminal Judge Paul P. Beibel, Jr. in Chicago, Illinois.
Jill Doherty, sophomore, is interning at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.
Matt Stuart, junior, is working as a legal intern for the Daviess County Prosecutor’s office in Indiana.
Lauren Krone, sophomore, is working as a file clerk at Hodges, Loizzi, Eisenhammer, Rodick & Kohn in Chicago, Illinois.
Kelsey Chetosky, senior, is working as a research assistant for the construction group at Schiff Hardin in Chicago, Illinois.
Alex Berk, senior, is working as a clerk/messenger for Adelman and Gettleman in Chicago, Illinois.
Ian Vitalis, junior, is interning with the investigations department at the DuPage County Public Defender’s Office in Wheaton, Illinois.
Katy Karayannis, junior, is interning for the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office in Elgin, Illinois.
Karim Popatia, junior, is working as a political/developmental intern for America Votes in Washington, D.C.
Amyna Visram, senior, is working as an accounting intern at Archer Daniels Midland in Decatur, Illinois.
Jesse Kearns, senior, is interning as a programmer and web applications developer for Americaneagle.com, a web hosting and design company in Des Plaines, Illinois
